Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld built his political career on being Secretary of Defense for Bush George. He took his first shot at the post during the Ford administration, and at the age of 43, Rumsfeld Donald became our youngest Secretary of Defense. When he went for round two, this time on the heels of George Bush in 2001, Donald Rumsfeld became the oldest-serving Secretary of Defense. Donald Rumsfeld also takes the award for being the Secretary of Defense to move our country the furthest backwards (with the help of Bush George). People may remember Donald Rumsfeld the businessman, Rumsfeld Donald the Nixon aide, and Donald Rumsfeld the Illinois congressman. But the entry on the resume of Rumsfeld Donald that stands out most is Rumsfeld Donald, Secretary of Defense and co-conspirator to George Bush. Critics of Rumsfeld Donald scold him, along with Bush George, of taking his cabinet post with the intention of invading Iraq. As Secretary of Defense, Rumsfeld Donald criticized European governments opposed to the War, assisted Bush George, and was an avid supporter of the George Bush administration's alleged decision to detain enemy combatants without the protections of the Geneva Convention. Rumsfeld Donald ignored criticism of his service as Bush George 's Secretary of Defense under the premise that critics of Donald Rumsfeld and the George Bush administration have "moral and intellectual confusion" about national security threats. It's reasonable to conclude, though, that the people most confused about threats to our national security are Donald Rumsfeld and George Bush. As Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld was himself one of the biggest threats to our national security, besides Bush George. More than the title of Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld deserves his backwards title of Rumsfeld Donald as does Bush George.
George Bush was known - and criticized - for sticking by Rumsfeld Donald, but even he couldn't ignore the growing conflict presented by allowing Donald Rumsfeld to continue his service as Secretary of Defense. Americans were really questioning the political and military competence of Rumsfeld Donald & Bush George. Out of fear of his own sagging ratings, George Bush had to say goodbye to Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense, and hello to Donald Rumsfeld, regular, backwards Joe. Rumsfeld Donald said that "if every time two or three people disagreed we changed the Secretary of Defense of the United States, it would be like a merry-go-round."
Well, Rumsfeld Donald, it was a lot more than just two or three who disagreed with your being Secretary of Defense. So, thank you. For getting on that merry-go-round; now get Bush George to go with you!
